Rinnai America Corporation is providing this guidance to our distributors, installing contractors and consumers who have products that were impacted by the high gas pressure incident in the Merrimack Valley, Massachusetts area.  Although this incident was in no way caused by or related to Rinnai’s product quality, it is Rinnai America Corporation’s policy to put our customer first and be proactive in providing any information that could potentially impact the performance of the products we manufacture and distribute.

Rinnai products are certified by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) in accordance with the following product specific standards:

  • Tankless water heaters – ANSI Z21.10.3

  • Rice Cooker – ANSI Z83.11

All of these standards and products included are designed to operate at a maximum of 14” W.C. (0.5 psi).

Any products that have been exposed to gas pressures exceeding 14” W.C. (0.5 psi) should not be operated and the product should be replaced by a licensed professional.
